Gosh I've tried for ages but I can't find long riding boots with a short leg length 38cm size 5.5 to 6 with a 43cm calf, yup born with really short legs loads of cycling gave me huge calf's. I presently wear long length muck boots but being rubber I just about get trench foot!! I need to wade through water for river crossing so can't use ankle boots and chaps. My budget is also low so no point suggesting I get some made they start at £220, realistically I have about £120. Any suggestions? I have also tried good Welles but need to lead the horse on long rides sometimes and they kill to walk in.

Yes! do not despair! fuller fillies do some lovely riding boots i have a pair and they are well worth the investment, they come in wide and extra wide and other sizes make sure you don't get them too big!!! I also have a pair of tuffa wide boots (they come up big on the foot size tho so you might want a foot size smaller..)

Shires Norfolk long leather boots are lovely and come in a huge range of sizes but they have a zip up the back so not sure if that would be any good.
The others i have are Harry Hall Faros but again have a zip up the back although doesn't go as far down the boot as the Shires one.
Tuffa are another brand with a huge range of sizes and widths.

Another vote for Mountain Horse High Ride 2 short wide, they're the best, I've had 3 pairs now and they work well, zips never give out on them.
