Gwen can not get on the forum at the mo,and asked me to post for her,all replies will be sent to her.Thanks.
Having a HUGE prob with Jack, his 209 tooth has a sagital fracture which means a split down the middle and it is shattered. Vets didnt pick up on it, but ED has done and now he is going to be referred to Newmarket.
Our ED has asked that a Pete/Peter Ramsden who is an equine dental specialist do the op and that it is removed orally.
Have heard of this chap before and think its off the net/forum, but cant get on still...... Is there a possibility you could put something up on the forum for me regarding the above and see what answers you get, pretty please. Think Pete Ramsden is from either Scarsdale/s or Scargale/s.

Pete Ramsden is at Rossdales and one of our leading vets in the field of equine dentistry. With regards to the tooth, depending on where the fracture runs, it may be that only part of the tooth needs to be removed but unfortunately most likey the whole tooth will have to be extracted. Oral extraction has the lowest number of associated comlications but may not be possible if the crown is fractured. Pete will advise when he has seen the horse.

Pete Ramsden operated on our old cob that we sold, unfortunately his tooth was at the back and had to be punched out from outside he sadly didnt make it (after 3 ops to try and get rid of an infection that set in after the op).
Pete was fantastic though and apparently this removal was risky but we didnt have a choice but to try it.
