Anyone based in this area that has a good reliable farrier? my farrier is good but lost his licence a little while ago and I have to pick him up with all his stuff and drop him off which is a bit of a pain. Thanks

John Crompton - Ive been using him 7 years and my friend has used him for 15 years. He is always on time, always polite, amazing with the horses (so quiet, gentle and kind) and he does wonders with feet! his number is 07710 390970

Thanks Gingee I was looking for a personal recommendation - I have grazing just off the penn road - is he happy with basic facilities? I know another farrier who is fab, but was very snooty about my dilapidated yard!

Don't worry he has done mine at very basic facilities in the past so I'm sure he would be OK with it I am in Penn also so he definitely does your area.
