Hi all,
I am looking for retirment livery for my 10 year old trakhener. Unfortunately an operation for DDFT hasn't worked so I will be looking for a long term loving home for him.
I have searched the threads and a post from April 2010 had two members info on it that ran retirement liveries and now I can't find it again!!
If anyone has any recommendations for a retirment livery I would be very greatful to recieve them.
Thanks in adavnce Crisp

There are a couple near Brecon, Mid Wales - if that is an area you can consider I could dig out some details. Have you researched the costs involved as they can be quite high.

Where are you based? This one is very good, so good they are probably full with a waiting list. However, you can try nrf-horseretirement.com/Sarah is based in Dudley, West Mids.

Depends where you are and what you want - if he lives out supervised grass livery is really all you need. As Jen says, I don't have space at the moment, I am no longer taking so many I am overstocked but I may have a space in spring if you don't find anything by then. Lisap also does them but she has a waiting list - look around your area for grass livery, if you find one close enough you could do regular checks yourself. Sarah Fox does do them as chestnutboy says but I think she is the more expensive end of the market. Depends what you want and where you are, as I said. Jen1 has plenty of room and looks after them as though they were her own, if it isn't too far away she would be a good choice.

Very pleased to see this post as I am searching for retirement livery myself - I am spending so much on petrol driving backwards and forwards it would work out cheaper. She's only 13hh and could live out, but needs restricted grazing as she is Sec B and I would like her to have field shelter - or be brought in if the weather is really bad. What is there within reasonable reach of the West Country?

Thanks for the replies. I will PM you Jen1 if that's ok? The others look good too! I'm in Leicestershire, so anywhere within a 3 / 4 hour drive would be great. Thanks again x
