this might sound very silly but i am very happy because my daughters dartmoor has a new rug. i know she doesnt need one but she has never had a very thick coat in fact its actually more thicker through the spring than the winter. anyway, she has needed a new rug for years (the last one i bought was too small so carried on using the old one) and due to finances i havent been able to buy her one and didnt think i would be able to this year what with my other horse gone away to be backed, but my wonderful OH took me to our local saddlery shop to look at back protectors for my daughter and dragged me off to the rugs and picked one up for me :-) he has been so great about the horses seen as hes not horsey at all, hes paid the majority out for mine to be backed, paid for hay, feed, farriers and anything else ive needed or spare of the moment buys for me when i spotted a nice pair of long riding boots half price so he grabbed them straight away. hes also really tried to take an interest, hes going to have lessons on handling my horse and long reining her, since i injured my neck hes realised i wont be able to do every thing if it happens again. so i just want to say thank you to him for being so great to me, and our daughter (who also has the horse bug) and our 2 fantastic horses who are very lucky to have him in their lives spoiling them. i will put a picture of my pony in her new rug on just because im so happy ;D

he is very lovely and i dont tell him enough :-( but certainly going to make sure i do :-) she wasnt very chuffed with the rug when she first saw it, she ran away from it at first, but she is blind in one eye and there was a noise when i was trying to get it out the bag (me swearing at it because the bag was too tight)

Some things make you feel the world isn't such a bad place after all. Pony looks great.

my world is a great place and having such a decent man for the last 8 years has certainly restored my faith in people, it is sad that not everyone can have my happiness, but i have learnt that money certainly doesnt buy happiness but a wonderful man and daughter certainly does

It's a good idea to take a picture when it first goes on..... .it will never look that way again! I love getting new rugs on them too. Sounds like a fabulous partner you have there.
