I am hoping to get into doing lots of these in 2012, but sadly have no transport so was wondering if anyone in the Bath area would be willing to share transport etc. At 52 I am not going to be the most fun person as a companion, so not sure if it would work, but thought I'd see what people thought.

Good for you Solly. I thought you might get more response if you put a thread up in the IH Areas and Matchmaking section ? At least if you put Bath in the title, you might find more people in your area. Shame you're not closer to me. Us 'more mature ladies ' need someone to inspire us.

Just an idea, but a friend of mine who I shared transport with found someone else to share with whilst my pony was injured by speaking with the transporter we used. They knew of someone else with an interest in similar events and it worked well to share a lorry a couple of times. Try your local bridleways group too. Good luck

I need to do this too! Shame you're not in Kent, Solly, I'm 52 and love to do endurance/fun rides but it works out to be too expensive to rent transport for a day on my own. It's a real PITA as I would like to do so much and just can't get there!!

You could try and get hold of the local EGB group to see if there is anyone that can help you. They are also very helpful in other ways. This is your local EGB Group www.wessexendurancegb.co.ukHope this helps Endurance is such fun and very friendly too.
