Oh, is she a girl then??? well that's no good then is it my silver girl is not a gay duck ( in fact she's very unhappy ) . I just hoped she'd get over Rasta duck if she had a new mate. and the ducklings would have been a lovely colour

We too have found cuddly toys in the field ( I still have a toy lion ) Foxes nick them out of gardens and carry them off as they also do with golf balls from nearby golf courses Ah, it was the foxes then! Funny that we have been there for several years, but the cuddly toys only appeared several weeks in a row and then never again. We have a golf course nearby too, and very rarely see any golf balls.

Found a goose head once. And another time an egg from a Rhea. (We suspect a fox had a hand in these)!
Also a bloomin' Chinese paper lantern. GGGRRRRR!!!!!

Oddest thing I once found was a pair of knickers, think they blew off a washing line at camp site but who knows lol. My son would of loved that duck for the bath lol

I love the duck, Laura, I've never found anything as delightful as that. The commonest item I find are dog poo bags, mostly empty ones that have blown away as the dog walker got something out of their pocket, but not all! The most interesting when I found out how it got there, is the bread in the water trough. No, it's not people feeding the ponies, it's the crows dunking dry bread to soften it up! The scariest has been 6 light bulbs that were distributed around the field sometime last year, the ponies find them as I strip graze. Apart from that there's the usual run of the mill items, bearing in mind the busy footpath that goes straight up the middle of the field: keys, pens, sunglasses, gloves, hankies, coats, jumpers, dog leads, paper bags from the bakers 200 yds away, newspapers, tennis balls, golf balls, frisbees, chinese lantern, balloons, bits of wire left by BT engineers working on the overhead line, beer bottles and cans, condoms, nappies, and toilet paper.

Love the duck, and the knickers!
Was expecting to find some odd things after recent gales, but nothing yet. Haven't been round field in dark yet...
When Fran first took over the grazing where I keep Twig, the previous tenant had been a bit of a hoarder, and she foud at least four tyne harrows buried around the field where they'd sunken into the mud (tynes up, obviously!). There appears to be an old railway cart of some kind quietly disintigrating in one corner, and we still find old bread packets from the days when our predecessor used to feed it to the horses.
More recently we've had a lamb's head and various dismembered parts of deer (thank you Mr Fox and Mr Badger...)

A completely illegal wire loop trapping thingy. Dragged in by an animal that subsequently escaped? Oh no, this was inside my horse's section of a certain brand of haylage!!! I made my complaint to the head of the company, who had the nerve to say, oh, we get a lot of those round here...... I will never buy from them again

A very large dead wild boar!! with a snare round its neck.. looked like it had been snared then broke the branch it was attached to, and ran into my field with the horses were it then died... I dragged it out and put it on the track and rang the police who couldnt shift it until the next day... but I went down and hour later to feed the horses and it was gone! someone driving down the track must of seen it and thought yum.. free dinner!! (this is in Spain, and they do hunt them)
