Well, this is a bit of a cheat really, because it landed in the next field to the cobs....... an RAF helicopter. Rumour had it that it contained HRH doing some training when his 'copter broke down - we never saw him though! It stayed parked on the farm until the following morning when the 'copter equivalent of the AA turned up. Just as well that it wasn't in the cobs' field as Dave would have stripped it down overnight.

A used nappy, only it was't actually in my field, it was actually in my mares mouth as she ran off with it, obviously been dumped and she being a starving RSPCA case, grabbed it quick and ran off with it..............

We just get golf balls - regularly - as one of the gardens that backs onto the field is attached to the house of a golfer who practices in his garden. What amazes me is the distance from the garden that I find them.
Actually we did find a mobile phone once. Quite a long way from the public right of way that runs through the fields. It belonged to a young girl so we think she had diverted from the path to see the horsies. We did phone her but she never came to collect it so Lizzy kept it. Perhaps she was embarrassed for being where she should not have been.

Empty gun cartridges, an old 45 record, numerous take out containers, beer bottles, cans etc. What possesses someone to open their car window and throw bottles and cans into fields containing horses and sheep PMSL @ the camel and the purple duck ;D ;D ;D ;D at the flat rat!! Bet that gave a hell of a squeak when LLoyd sat on it!! ;D

Dibbles managed to find an old piece of barbed wire in a paddock that doesn't have any, it had stuck straight into his foot right up to curly bit and the other day we found a badger skull but the best one was a fresh raw egg that Lady had managed to poo on, it didn't break until I tried to pick it up with the poop scoop.

Oh, and snakes... One year a pile of hay had got wet and when moving it we found a clutch of snakes eggs, so we re-covered them. A few weeks latter as Lizzy was bending forward to dismount she squealed & jumped off fast picking up a tiny baby grass snake about the size of a pencil. The next summer OH regularly found a snake under the wheelbarrow when he picked it up from where it was left up turned on the muck heap. Not seen any snakes for 2 years but I'm sure they're around.

;D @ the bonking couple. Don't actually get them in my fields but our lane is a popular parking spot for dog walkers (we have lovely woods) and we regularly get cars parked up for hours with VERY steamy windows ;D they also appear to have excellent suspension, judging by the amount of jiggling they do ;D I'm often tempted to sing 'we know what you're doing' as I hack by, but I try to be grown up ;D

My pony has decided to dig a hole in his field revealing some large flint stones. My OH thought it might have been a crater where a piece of rock from space had hit!

Years ago when I was on livery the farm owner found in a sports bag a very good (so he told us!) deflated folded up blow up doll. She had yellow curly hair, lots of make up on, real body hair and three holes

A man peeing against our gate once - he had climbed IN to our field to pee rather than from outside, so I was spared from a full frontal view! He jumped a mile though when I asked if I could help him! But a couple of years ago we had a spate of finding old cuddly toys in the field!! We never did work out where they came from but we have a lot of owls and rooks/crows around our fields, and I always wondered whether they came from. It was quite spooky finding one, then a week or so later finding another!

We too have found cuddly toys in the field ( I still have a toy lion ) Foxes nick them out of gardens and carry them off as they also do with golf balls from nearby golf courses

Wow what a lot of strange objects and goings on everyone has had in their paddocks, makes my glittery purple duck look quite tame ;D

I do hope you've given Mr Duck a good new home, Laura.
Not in the field, but I did find a sheep's hoof capsule in the ponies' hay today. The dogs thought it was delicious!

I threw it in one of the gardens for the dogs to play with it I bet your dogs were very happy with the sheep hoof capsule Liz ;D
