hi all

I'm not sure how many of you are on facebook but recently i started following a page a lady set up about some horses she has rescued in egypt. She has worked wonders with these horses and is now trying to help others in the area many of which have serious wounds and sores caused by ill fitting equipment and general lack of care. as in the pic here. At the beginning of december i entered a christmas competition on the BEIDS page with a picture of my mare to win some fab prizes.
After going on the Prince fluffy Kareem page today and seeing the pics of the saddle pad project (which brought tears to my eyes) i would like to ask all of you who are on facebook for your votes on my picture and if we manage to win the competition i will donate the first aid kit and the polite saddle pad to team Kareem so that they can help the horses who our more needy of these items than i am. please use this link to vote thankyou

Just seen this on FB, Steff, as I follow Prince Fuffy as well.
I'm amazed by what Marte and her team do, and so nostalgic of the pics of the stables on the outskirts of Cairo, and them riding with the pyramids as a backdrop. I was there 4 years ago for 3 days and rode by the pyramids. It was wonderful.
I would really like to go back there for all sorts of reasons.

Ahh dragonmaster isn't she just fab and the fact that she puts up with all the crap that the egyptian men give her just because she's a woman. She's making a massive difference out there and i only wish i could go and join her on her mission. But if i can help by giving her these prizes that my horses realy do not need and she can help another horse from suffering in that heat then thats all that counts

Thanks, its really good to hear things like this with so much cruelty - intended or not - and i imagine its not at all easy for herxx
