Hope Pastures is only about half a mile (if that) from where I work, so I popped out in my lunch break to go and meet Molly at her new home.
She wasn't interested in coming over for a cuddle, obviously far too content out in the field in her little herd! She looked very relaxed and happy, and cosy and warm in her rug. I made friends with several of the other horses and donkeys instead and had some good scratchies with an adorable little black pony :-)
I spoke with Sophie a staff member who said that Molly is doing really well. She is coping ok with the weather, and the only thing is she seems to struggle a bit with the dark mornings so they are wondering if her eyesight is not 100%. But other than that she is doing well.

Aww that's great - thanks for the update. If she were to be found dead tomorrow (hope she has a long time ahead of her but she is a very old lady by all accounts) it's great that she has had a retirement home where she was cared for.

So glad to hear that she's well and enjoying life, dear old Molly. Well done to the DG'ers who made it all possible, the happiest of outcomes.
