Went to visit the famous Molly today

Hope Pastures is only about half a mile (if that) from where I work, so I popped out in my lunch break to go and meet Molly at her new home.

She wasn't interested in coming over for a cuddle, obviously far too content out in the field in her little herd! She looked very relaxed and happy, and cosy and warm in her rug.
I made friends with several of the other horses and donkeys instead and had some good scratchies with an adorable little black pony :-)

I spoke with Sophie a staff member who said that Molly is doing really well. She is coping ok with the weather, and the only thing is she seems to struggle a bit with the dark mornings so they are wondering if her eyesight is not 100%. But other than that she is doing well.

Aww that's great - thanks for the update. If she were to be found dead tomorrow (hope she has a long time ahead of her but she is a very old lady by all accounts) it's great that she has had a retirement home where she was cared for.
