As you may have known, Uva moved house last week to a yard nearer home.
I have been up to see my old YO today and asked for her to have me back
The inconvenience of the drive and extra distance, and the increased costs are worth it to me for the service I get there.
Have struck a deal to have a smaller stable at a reduced cost and am going to use the price difference to pay her to muck out some evenings for me to enable me to keep Uva around my job without compromising on her wellbeing.
The lesson of the day is the grass isn't always greener
Feel a bit silly.

Thanks Debbie. Its a nice enough yard, but I just can't cope with DIY around my job, even with help from others on the yard. I need the reassurance of a YO doing it!
Such a shame your place is so far away as would love to join your herd!

Don't feel silly. Feel very clever to have realised your mistake so quickly and acted on it to correct it. Finding the right yard is SO difficult but as a full time wage slave IMO it's so important to find one with the right support for you as well as the right facilities for your horse. Well done for making the decision quickly, and good luck to you and Uva

dont feel silly, i think its a lesson that a lot of owners never learn and its usually at the cost of the yard owner time and money,
