Ask The Panel Evening
Thursday, 12th May 2011 to be hosted at Ackworth RDA, Station Road, Low Ackworth, Pontefract, West Yorkshire, WF7 7HP.
Easily accessed from the A1, M1 or M62 www.bing.com/maps/?FORM=MMREDR#JnE9LldGNys3SFAlN2Vzc3QuMCU3ZXBnLjEmYmI9NTkuMDM0OTAyNzI0MTY5JTdlNC42MzYyMzA4NDM3NDk5OSU3ZTQ5LjMwMzYzNjExOTc2NDklN2UtMTUuNzEwNDQ4ODQzNzU=
£2.00 per person to cover drinks and nibbles.
The evening will commence from 7.00pm and will be an opportunity to ask that burning question you always wanted an answer to and find out all you wanted to know about endurance riding (and possibly a little extra along the way). Whether you are new to endurance or whether you have been ‘at it’ a while and are thinking about your next step, we hope you will get something out of the evening.
The panel will include:
Jeni Gilbert
Jeni was National Supreme Points Champion in 2007 and has completed (and won) 100 mile ERs with her over height Connemara, Flurrie. Specialist subject: You don’t need an Arab.
Stephen Bennett
Stephen is a very experienced endurance rider with a great eye for a horse. He has ridden at all levels of the sport, from social rides up to FEI and is currently an FEI technical delegate. Specialist subject: Taking the next step
Esther Young
Esther is passionate about horses having longevity of career, her own horse Harry having been West Riding novice champion, open champion, and veteran champion throughout his time with the group. Specialist subject: Long distance riding with the less than perfect horse
Sue Headland
Sue has produced a number of horses to advanced level, and as our ‘Ask the Panel’ event is just a couple of days before she sets off for Golden Horseshoe, she has promised to be very giddy and not act her age. Specialist subject: Bringing up baby (particularly when you didn’t know your mare was pregnant…)
Charles Atkinson
Charles has been supporting his wife and daughter for many years and there's nothing he doesn't know about crewing at all levels of competition. Specialist subject: How to pack those essentials and deal with the unexpected
More panel members to be added as they agree to take part…..
Please RSVP to the Group to confirm your attendance at westridingliaison@yahoo.co.uk

Also, if you can't make it - the committee have agreed that we can video the event and put it up on the Group's website afterwards so if you have a burning question, please send them to the above email address and we will put them to the Panel on your behalf
See you there!
