Really special opportunity for Centered Riding!

Hi everyone

This is a note to let you know that we are organizing three really special Centered Riding Events in September 2006.

We've been able to persuade Lucile Bump - one of only a handful of Level 4 Centered Riding Instructors in the world - to come and deliver clinics in North Cheshire, Kent and Scotland.

Lucile is a close personal friend of Sally Swift - the founder of Centered Riding, and is much in demand throughout Europe. Indeed, she is making room for this special trip to the UK during her very busy clinic schedule in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Holland, this summer and Autumn.

Lucile will be teaching us how to become more effective in whatever discipline we choose to follow. How to become less tired - and help our horses to be less tired when endurance riding. How to achieve better marks in our dressage tests by being more balanced and harmonious, and how to be with our horse at all times when jumping. You don’t have to be a competitor to benefit from Lucile’s teaching either – those of us who just ride for pleasure will learn how to become far more part of our horse when out hacking.

The Scotland clinic is already full with a waiting list, but there are a few places left on both the Cheshire and Kent clinics. I’ll be pleased to pass on enquiries for the Kent clinic to our local organizer, Lesley Shellard. (Kent clinic dates are Thursday 14th and Friday 15th September 2006)

Mobberley Riding School in Cheshire have very kindly re-organised their schedule so that we can have the use of their indoor school and outdoor schools on both days, plus their excellent lecture room facilities – and the venue couldn't be more convenient for those traveling as it is only 15 minutes from the motorway network. (Cheshire Clinic dates are Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th September 2006).

Places are limited on this course - and it won't be a surprise that we already have 8 places booked out of a course of only 12 riders for the Cheshire clinic. It's not cheap at £120 for the two days, but bellieve me - the "WOW" factor will be worth every penny. If you only attend one training course this year, then please let this one be it!

Just one other thing - this course has been costed on a not-for-profit basis, so my enthusiasm is based solely on the quality of the instructor, and not because I'm making any money from it - I'm not, and am entirely happy about that. I just really want people to experience this wonderful form of riding, from one of the best practitioners in the world today.

Me too Mellymoo! I'm not taking my boy either, it's too far. I used to ride at Mobberley as a kid, they used to have some pretty nice schoolmasters - hope they still have!

Do you mean for Cheshire Margaret D? I think there is stabling available, Mobberley is a big place and I'm sure Lisa mentioned some stabling, I'm not bringing my own horse though, it's too far in the trailer. Are you going to the Mobberley clinic?

Thinking about it. I used to have sessions with Lisa on Finn and I met her and her cronies out for the day with the neds a few weeks back and she met Arcos then so yes I want to know whether I have to load and drive on a daily basis or could leave him there overnight? Now that I have thought about it I am not so sure leaving him overnight somewhere strange will sit well with me not being there too.

I'm sure he'll settle ok, it's a nice big yard with plenty of activity and other horses. And it's only for one night too, I had to abandon my boy at Newmarket for lameness investigation for five days in March, felt awful, but he was fine there, settled much better than I imagined!

Will be nice to meet you if you do go, I'm really looking forwards to it!

May see if the finances can stretch to an overnight stay locally for me too, that's if there are any vaccancies on the Cheshifre leg left. Might have been a good idea if i'd checked that one out first, doh!

All three clinics are now technically full. I say technically because inevitably somebody might have a problem. Everyone has paid for their place at the Cheshire clinic, but if Jen or Margaret, or anyone else for that matter really wants to come along then let me know and I can put you on the waiting list.
