Hello! I'm moving to the Newent area in March and I'm looking for DIY or part livery - or turn out - for my 16.2hh gentleman of a gelding. I have a toddler who is almost 2 who will need to accompany me to the yard 2-3 days a week who has been around horses since he was born and I can manage safely in a yard environment. I'm happy to muck in and help others, clean, tidy and friendly. Any yards out there....!

I just googled 'Livery Newent' and there were quite a few that came up - are you close enough to have a day checking them out?

Yes! Thank you Shan, I'll do that too and see what comes up. It sounds silly, but I'd never thought of doing that as we've moved so many times before and nothing ever comes up on a search for livery, except large equestrian centres. Maybe people are particularly web-organsied!! Going up on wed so will try to organise some visits. Thanks x

have a good drive round I dont know places in detail, but there is some where nearish by that i have been told to avoid, pm me if you like, and il send u a map pinpointing it, its not a yard as such more of a paddock and stables connected to a house. Also go and visit Hartpury Saddlery. Do u have Facebook? if so add me if you want (stacey brassington) and il send u a link to the Hartpury saddlery fb page funnily enough its another Stacey that runs it. She is very helpful and knows the area well. She knows the lady who runs this place: Lyne House Livery, Ledbury Rd, Newent, GL18 IDL www.lynehouselivery.com/
