Introduction to Pilates for Horse riders

Felicity Begley of Topline Vet Physio is pleased to be running a morning’s introduction into Pilates for Horse riders.
Felicity Begley Chartered Veterinary/Human Physiotherapist is a qualified Pilates instructor through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI - http://www.ausphysio.com.)
Aim of the morning (2 parts):
Presentation – Introduce the Pilates technique and relevant research, discuss rider posture and saddle set up in a variety of equine disciplines and identify common postural problems that lead to poor rider position. 45-60mins
- Coffee break
Practical – Group Pilates class with specific exercises focusing on balance, strength and flexibility and how this can be transferred when in the saddle. 45mins (Max of 12 participants)
NB – Due to health and safety a MAXIMUM of 12 people can take part in the practical element of the morning, but others may observe. Please give your name to Garry ASAP if you wish to do the practical element, as places will be on a 1st come 1st served basis, then a waiting list will be made in case anyone drops out.
Mats will be provided but can all those taking part in the practical element wear loose comfortable clothing, and bring a towel (for a head rest)
All proceeds will be donated to Bransby Home of Rest for Horses
Admission £5 per person (includes tea, coffee, fruit tea and biscuits)
