Frankie was PTS yesterday, as you know it was a difficult decision for me. Im hopeful he will come back to me. In the short time i had him in my life he taught me so much about myself and others. Frankie was happy while he was with me, always had a smile on his face and his belly full.

Never easy, but often the last and greatest gift of love.
Rest in Peace Frankie.
Thinking of you icarus. You did all you could.

:-( sorry he has gone but im sure everyone who heard about his story is glad that he found his way to you. You listened to him and found out what was wrong, alot more than many would have done for him. Kept him fed and loved and chose the best decision before he began to struggle and suffer. I think every situtation like this teaches us alot even if they dont spend very long with us. Xxx

Oh Icarus, you have done a very courageous and most of all right thing for your horse. You gave him a happy time at the end but nothing was ever going to save him I'm afraid. Feel proud that you tried .
RIP Frankie, run free at Rainbow Bridge. xxx

I have just read your thread about Frankie and wanted to say that you are a very brave lady. You have been to hell and back, emotionally and financially in the short time that you had him but you put him first. As SS3 says, you should be proud that he lived the last part of his life knowing love and kindness. RIP Frankie x

Icarus, I am so sorry to read this. It is almost unbearably painful to lose these youngsters at the start of their lives - I went through this with my beautiful Chutney.
But I'm sure they find us for a reason, these little doomed ones, perhaps they just need to find a place for some love and happiness before they go home again, and we are the ones they choose.
Be proud of what you did for your lovely boy. xxx
