That made me cry. Especially the 1st clip, how kind was that man, going in to comfort the horse whilst waiting for help. Lovely stories. Its pleasing to know most people love their animals and will do anything to help them.

Wow, its hard to imagine being in that position, says she with her horses all tucked up in their stables because its a bit wet and rainy here today. I hope all the aussie animals are as lucky.

I'm trying to hold back tears (I am at work on my lunchbreak). I am never ever going to 'moan' about a bit of British rain again. I just hope the situation improves soon and the horses/people/animals remain strong.

What is lovely about the second clip is to see how the 'natural instinct' of the horse is always there even though they have probably lived a domesticated life. I love the dominant horse leading the others to safety - I just hope others are just as fortunate.

They showed part of the first clip on the news this morning, I'm in tears too. I think we can tend to become too insular about what is happening in the world which is why I put the other thread up. I wish we could do something to help. The thought of seeing my own horses in a situation like this is unbearable.
