Just been out for a lovely ride in the snow and sunshine on Rosie. Only marred by the fact that she kept stopping, putting her head down and licking the salt off the road! Better get her a salt lick methinks. Anyway, she went up the snow covered bridle way like the clappers, so that was fun. I had a really nice time. But on Friday (yes, Christmas Eve, I know) I'm popping into the local hospital for keyhole surgery on my ankle. Arthoscopy they call it, to get rid of arthritic bits. Only day case so I'll be out again that evening. Then I have arranged for my lovely family to wait on me over Christmas. But it means no driving for 2 -3 weeks and no riding for a bit longer than that. I may be on the DG even more than usual for the next few weeks.

Glad you had such a lovely ride today!
Wishing you all the best for the surgery, and hope that your family pamper you over the festive season.
By the time it all thaws, you'll be back in the saddle

Oh bless you, good luck! Those ops are not normally too bad, and you won't have to be doing anything to help with Xmas dinner - silver lining and all that

oh, lots of sympathy! i've had 3 periods off work with knee arthroscopy, achilles op and broken ankle, its frustrating not being able to ride, but at least you've picked a good time of year waetherwise to have the op! it's amazing how quickly you recover though.

Hope it all goes well - brilliant timing though "I'd love to help but...." as you sit there in front of tv, chocs in one hand, mulled wine in the other.

Well, look out Rosie - here I come! Stitches out, signed off by surgeon & physiotherapist except for "keep doing the exercises" I just need to remember not to do too much for too long or it hurts! However driving, walking without stick, and Ok to ride. Just what I need to take my mind off other stuff! ( For various reasons including my brother who lives in USA currently being in Australia, Mum's Funeral is not till 31st Jan)
