We rent 9 stables and 22 acres divided into 8 fields, water and electric included, for £97.50 per calendar month, per horse. The external fencing is the LO's responsibility, the internal fencing is ours.We have 4 winter fields and 4 summer and currently have 8 horses between 4 of us. The yard is utterly beautiful, hacking fantastic and the LO's are great. We are all IH minded, help each other out and there is no bitching!!! I think we are sooooo lucky. Hope you find somewhere great soon, Bertie, life is so much better when you and your horse are happy I would never go willingly back into a DIY livery yard, just too stressful! xxx

Haha Bertie Yes we have got room for one more horse, as long as you're happy to be interviewed by us all and the final decision being left to my friend Lil, who is a great judge of character, lol! Hope it all goes well for you both at your new place xx

I think when it comes to interfering LO's or annoying 'rules', you just have to be totally up front at the start, ask loads of questions, is this ok, is that ok etc. I'm on a small yard which costs a LOT for DIY but when I looked round I asked if I could poo pick to my own schedule, if I could electric off bits of my fields, if I could decide when to swap from summer to winter fields and back, if I could feed hay in the field, and ride in my fields etc and YO has been good to her word - she said it's my field so I can do what I like with it and that's worth it's weight in gold to me

well it never rains till it pours or however that saying goes!
Rang the 4 acres and falling down shelter man and he's offered to rent me the lot. 8 1/2 acres for £300 p/m! He's obviously had trouble with the lady who has the other 4 acres adn when I said about the fencing all being down and a pony in the other 4 he was really cross.
So im now trying to work out if I can take on both and rent half the 8 out to cover costs so we have definite summer grazing and can rest the lovely bit with stables...hmmmm! HELP!!!
