Thats one ugly looking blighter ! Our boys only had lice one particular year at a time when you could use the good old, trusty ( now banned ) powder. Remember putting it on from ear to tail along their backs and inhaling as much myself !!!
I once heard that foxes De-Lice themselves by taking a ball of sheeps wool in their mouths then swimming in a pool or pond with only their mouths and the wool out of the water. Apparantly ( if its true ) all the lice head for the wool and the fox then lets it go !! Simples as they say on telly ........
Please don't tell me if its not true cos i like that image and the idea !

yeh, i just made a double check and def a chewing louse and not a sucking ones! So a bit more relieved about that. More fur trimming and vigerous grooming today, all lice were well and truely deaded! Got enough 'stuff' to do another 2 treatments with 2 week intervals, and then i will keep vigilant for the blighters. Also going to keep her hair short hopefully, bought some dog trimmers yesterday, and tried them out today, and she didnt kill me, she did get bored though and demanded to go back into the field so i called it a day. Hoping the big clippers wont be as such a shock but wont just wade in with those straight away either

remember the 10 day cycle, you need to be treating every week and a half, grooming wont do a thing, apart from spread them around, treat adults babies and eggs that will hatch , and treat 4 times we did 3 first time and then wished we had done 4 treatments your looking at over 3 months of vigilance, i posted the pics the other day, anyway ive just done mi hair so dont want to talk dirty with you tonight ,lol

haha! Dont blame u Jen! I may go and get some more 'juice' then after the 2nd dosing to make sure i have enough for 4. do u think it would be better to do 10 days then rather than 14 which was what vet said lol! Been giving her a good groom as she is still a bit itchy and im trying to check for any sore bits that might need attention. All in all tho she is much less frantic and irritated! Im off for a soak too!!

OK il mark it up in my diary! Now she is missing fur she should dry nice and quickly, but not going to get chance now till next weekend, as i have to take her to a house down and round the road. I might have to wear waders as it will be fun and games trying to get her washed, she can be a beggar about it! I think she would feel much much better having had a bath tho. Well il see how im going with how much i have left as i still have quite a bit left out of first bottle and got another one to go yet. Thanks 4 the offer

Not found anything crawling since the day we treated. Treated again the other day :-) she is a little itchy still but not to the same extent at all. I think that is more down to sore areas healing. Still need to finish he strange hair cut lol! want to get her bathed soon too but i think im being too optimistic with that! noticed she has dropped a little weight again so upped her feed and she is in another field with apollo scoofing :-D
