Hi All,
After the snow has melted my mare has been out all day, and I went to get her in today and she walked away from me with her ears flat back, this didn't bother me too much, but then I stood in the field for a second and she trotted towards me and didn't stop and only just swerved around me, she knew I was getting cross so she kept doing it, then I then told her off, and turned around for a while, and whenever I would turn around she would prick her ears, and after about 20 minutes I tried again, talking to her as I walked over telling her to stay, and I got to her and she stood still, I gave her a stroke and put her headcollar on and took her in, but she has never had a nasty nature, so I am not sure what it was all about.
Sorry for the long rave.
Thanks
Manetailz xxxx

This is just "I haven't been out for ages" I can see a bit of grass" "You aren't getting me in yet" kind of stuff. My old boy who is 25 reared up and spun round when I went to put his headcollar on - and I know him so well I know that was exactly what he was saying to me. I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep calm when you go to get her and if she doesn't come then wait until she does. Don't make an issue of it or else she may get to think its a really good game. Good luck.
