Can anyone recomend a roller or similar which I can use on my new forest pony. She is slightly narrower in front than behind and when doing transitions or taking contact down, the roller gradually moves forward onto her withers. The one i am using is the common red and blue striped material one. (A treed saddle often does the same, so she has a treeless - maybe I could use this, putting the lines through stirrup leathers?).I keep meaning to but then forget to try it. mta...maybe some elastic in it would help? Am prepared to save for a leather fully adjustable but wondered if it would do the same.

i have a mark todd roller and find that great and as its sep from the girth that comes with it can be made small with a shorter girth, you may need a crupper if nothing else works which should help stop the roller going to far foward, you may find a banana girth helps when you start riding. you can long rein in you saddle thought i just get and old sturrip leather and thread throught both sturrips to stop them flapping about loads and then long rein through the sturrips
