Her first MOT with me, flew through everything... except welding... Lots of corrosion at the driver and passenger underside. Garage estimates 8 hours worth of welding at £590 they reckon she'll be as good as new once it is done but it could be more than 8 hours.... I have 10 days before re-test to get it done... sooo the wrong time of year for this Poor Becky lorry poor bank account!!

Thats dirt cheap, Daisy lorry cost me £1000 for a new floor of welding in the front earlier this yr, then followed new brakes / pipes / king pins / wipers / lights etc etc.............. still she's worth more with an MOT than without and should last me another couple of yrs now, bless her ancient person.

Oh no. My horsebox needs some work and Im hoping its not going to cost that much its down one side of the box where the top meets the bottom, the sill and also a patch at the back as well as maybe a new head gasket, which Im praying its not but given the fact that towards the end of the summer the heater kept coming on to cool it down Im not expecting it to be anything else. Im going to take it in to the garage after Xmas. I really cant afford it but since I bought it Ive not spent any money on it so I suppose its due some but Im dreading the bill.
Also a question on horseboxes esp 3.5 ton, when its going thru the MOT do the garage check the floor for corrosion?

Whaatt, Im really hoping and praying when my box goes in in January to investigate why cooler keeps coming on and with the welding work that needs doing its not going to be that expensive but Im not counting on it. I did consider just getting a 4x4 and now this option is looking more attractive.
