We've had about four inches in two hours last night. Snowing on and off today but I don't have to go anywhere and the horses are next to the house. Thinking of you that are going to have big problems getting to yards and work etc.

Thanks Mandal for thinking of us who have snow up to our ears... well knees. Thought we'd already had more than our fair share of it, but here it is again and it doesn't seem to want to stop.

About 1/2 inch last night but lane was interesting even in the 4 x 4 all the liveries had to walk down and back up if we get a lot tonight we will end up doing 8 horses in the morning lol but thats the bonus of living on the yard i guess - think everyone is happy we are here but then 5 of the horses are ours anyway so not much change to do 8 rather than 5.

Woke up to about 2 inches - enough to make roads slippy anyway. More to come tomorrow the weather man thinks. grrrrr.

We had a tiny covering last night, then about 1/2 inch this afternoon and it's not been above -4 today, so now the roads are sheet ice. Just been to the stables and had to take a 6 mile detour on windy lanes to avoid a jack-knived lorry and found people are already getting stuck and abandoning their cars I'm supposed to have a companion for Talin moving in on Sunday, am going to be gutted if the weather stops us

We had a light sprinkle but a thick frost today and the fields are really icy Took me 20 minutes to thaw out the tap with a hairdryer this morning!! On the plus side, my daughter just got home from Uni this evening, for the Christmas hols. I have missed her soooooo much. And she can help me with the mucking out tomorrow!

Don't want any more thanks, we had over a foot a couple of weeks ago and it caused chaos, I'd like to miss out on this bout of snow please.

Only a sprinkle of snow but freezing conditions have made the roads lethal. What fun! Stay safe everyone.
