Team Roslyn Stables! Mollington, Chester (Sharon, Anne & I) have put some dates in our diary to do some training of our various horses and wondered if anyone else would like to join us? We hope it will be just like the HCMs we have here, but WITH your horse.
We plan to start around 10am and finish around 2pm, drink coffee, eat biscuits and discuss how to do stuff in a group, and then go get the horses and try it out! We are hoping to encourage those with young horses, less confident, don’t get the chance to get out much, barefoot transitioning, lacking equipment, imagination or support, similar to ourselves, to see what we can achieve together.
We are limiting numbers so you will need to book and pay (£25) for a place for you and your horse (and perhaps a helper if you feel the need) and don’t forget your picnic lunch and hay net for your horse. We will be working the horses outdoors and be subject to the British weather!
--3rd May - Obstacles and de-spooking. Washing line & clothes, bridge, flags, gym balls, umbrella, tarpaulin, carpet etc.
--7th June - Out & about. Want to hack? In company? Want a leader? Want to walk in hand? Transitioning hooves?
--12th July – Poles. Rustic / coloured, Long / short. On ground / raised. Walk / trot over. ‘L’ shape for backing through...
--9th Aug - Out & about. More hacking, how are you getting on?

Well the first HCM-WYH! was a great day, just take a look at www.freewebs.com/kathynadin for all the photos! We subjected our horses to all manor of different things that we thought might trouble them, fortunately / unfortunately they all took everything in their stride! I wonder if straight forward hacking will cause trouble next time? I hope not. If you would like to join in on the 7th June please call me to book a place.
