Hi,
I have been thinking about a change in carrier and i would be interested in becoming a massage therapist. Does anyone know how i would go about this?

have a look at www.equineenergy.com there's info on their courses there. It all looks really intersting and i'd love to do it but it's soooooooo expensive!!!!

HAllo there. There are different ways to become an Equine MAssage Therapist. As I understand it ( and I'm happy to be corected!) there are four such courses (accredited) in the United Kingdom. www.patkitherapy.co.uk (the only one on the North) equineenergy as stated above, Mary Bromiley's course and one called the ICAT course (theicat.co.uk). You can always attend a day's workshop for Owners (no one is allowed to practise on others peoples' horses without that horse's vet's knowledge and consent - but you can on your own horse) to get a taster. DO ensure the tutor is trained, qualified and insured. You are welcome to come on mine! (See thread "Equine Massage for Owners Workshop") See if it what you would like.
