"I was just getting a bit hot that's all..." That's lovely and what a nicely ridden test. I love the way she just got back on and acknowledged the judges as if nothing had happened.

That was *fantastic* - what a good sport the rider is, and what a *very* cheeky pony! ;D Now, ask me how I know that the rider has a slight twist in her pelvis......

… because you spot things about riders that no-one else can see and noticed that her right thigh is slightly higher than the left, so her pelvis is twisted to the left

Noooo, Catrin . But gold star, as I think you have got the direction of the little spiral in the pelvis correct! This is a lovely example of how cheeky ponies are also awful sneaks! ;D This is a nice rider, with still hands, but I am prepared to bet that she has been told to keep her hands still in the past. Her pony is wagging his head from side to side very slightly, which is a dead giveaway that as the rider rises in trot, one seatbone is travelling forward ever, ever so slightly more than the other, at a guess - and it is a sort of guess - I would say that her left seatbone is travelling slightly further than her right one. the result is that her entire torso will 'skew' just a fraction, with the effect that her hands will also move the same way - even though her hands are actually still. In fact, if she had unsteady hands, you wouldn't see the 'wag' as there would be too many conflicting messages going down the reins. Can you tell I am getting teaching withdrawal symptoms at the moment?

Nice one Lisa! I saw the head wag, but couldn't see the reason behind it! My grey pony once did that to me out hunting, in the middle of a freshly ploughed field!

You can pass your MRPCH Join-Up exam, even if your horse rolls in the middle of the follow up! Of course I'd have spotted all that head wag stuff if I had a decent broadband speed
