Well firstly iv always loved the Cheyenne so a thumbs up for that!! ;D And I would definately use the first bareback pad. I owned the second (or one very similar) a while back and didnt like it at all. Very insecure and uncomftable. The first looks better made, more secure and or a nicer material. Hope this helps

Now normally I am completely prejudiced against these bareback pads, and just don't see how the Cashel pad can be good for the horses back.
The first pad looks quite interesting though, and I can see possible the benefits of the Y girthing system.
What would you use them for, if that isn't a daft question?

I like the look of the Barefoot pad best, I like the V girthing and it looks more comfy for the rider.
I am borrowing a friend's barefoot dressage saddle to back my youngster and when he's riding away nicely am planning to get Marianna from Better Saddles to come and try several on him to see which suits him best. From having just looked on t'internet I'd prefer the Barefoot Cherokee as it has knee roils so will be more versatile
