i got one last winter for £15 (was from a friend tho, but prob not that much more normally!) not sure how much u pay for small bales, but the big one lasted us almost all winter (one horse on deep bed) but she did eat the hay too lol!

might not get it quite so cheaply, but could haggle. yes storing is the only thing, could always break it down into smaller bits, and tie them together like bales
