Not the DG - the actual website. Please if anyone gets a chance to scan through and suggest improvements to our website we'd really appreciate it. Lou Austin lives near Henley on Thames and I don't want her battling through the snow if the weather is bad tomorrow so she'll probably work from home on the website improvements and next Listening Post.
So if anyone has ideas for either please list them here!
Many thanks. Kelly x

I find the list of RAs a bit confusing - most say where they are based, but not all, and some seem to keep appearing which makes me even more confused! Maybe I'm just a bit gormless. Also, I know that Debbie Glennan's details are out of date....

The adverts section is a bit confusing, maybe better if you can place ads online. Pay via paypal maybe. Just a thought.
Also what about a book section? What books are there to buy. Like yours Kelly, which are fab. And yours Monty. Maybe a section so we can buy second hand books off us a for sale book store.
Anyway i love the site what ever.

What about some different things in the students page like some puzzles to solve to keep our brains working between courses. Some course experiences to encourage newbees.

Hi Kelly,
I'd like to be able to get to the horse help section from general horse talk without having to go back to the home page.
Cheers

Hi Kafee, Is that on the Discussion Group rather than the IH website (www.intelligenthorsemanship.co.uk)? I think the improvements made last year have made a huge difference, but am also in the process of updating mine and Simon's websites (firstly due to being sofa bound because of a broken toe, and now due to being snow bound because for some crazy reason I left Stafford last night, where there's hardly any snow, to travel to Bucks to work with clients here for the week, and now it's knee deep - well, almost - in snow, and the BBC have just forecast the worst snow in London for 30yrs!), so will be keeping an eye on this thread for ideas! Sue

"Kelly promotes respect and understanding of horses through courses , demonstrations and educational mate Monty Roberts Dually Halter." Is it just my browser but all I can see of this sentence on the front page is this. When I copied and pasted the full lot came up but I just wondered if this was how it appears to others? Pic of Pie seems to block the whole sentence. This is what it c&p'd reads... "Kelly promotes respect and understanding of horses through courses , demonstrations and educational materials such as the revolutionary Monty Roberts Dually Halter."

Oops! It seems OK on my browser but do please let us know if anyone is having problems. We aim for perfection you know! Is there anything else on the website that people think should be improved? Have you all explored the 'nether regions' i.e. horses for sale, videos etc etc?

"Kelly promotes respect and understanding of horses through courses , demonstrations and educational materials such as the revolutionary Monty Roberts Dually Halter." No it's not you. The source code says: … educational materials</a> & n b s p ;such as the revolutionary <a href="http://m4admin.com/intelligenthorsemanship.co.uk/content/view/82/98">Monty Roberts Dually Halter.<br /></a>In this effort the work of … the & n b s p (it is actually written in HTML with no spaces - if I do that here it disappears) causes the rest of the writing to disappear behind the picture, it possibly should have a <br /> there instead, to put the text on the next line, but as I haven't taught HTML since 1998, I can't be sure. However, if someone knew how to change the page so it doesn't work properly, they must know enough to change it back so that it does work. Just remembered, that & n b s p ; (without spaces in it) means no breaking space, so that's why it carries on on the same line and, of course <br /> is what you use to put the next bunch of text on the next line, without a paragraph end.

there...should be ok now. Not bad for 10:30pm on a friday!!! IH Office (aka Lou) self taught on this stuff so all input/tips very welcome especially if it helps as avoid using very efficient and expensive (!) experts so are nbsp basically a no-no for compatibilty across browsers? The software for the site annoyingly seems to try and use them automatically. enjoy the snow all IH Office
