part £470
full £600
but everything is so expensive down here hence why I had to come back from 4 years living away to living back with my mum. A room to rent in one of the worse housing estate in the surrey is £400 a month not including bills!

christ ella that IS expensive!! I am on a farm and am lucky, I pay £120 a month for my 2 fields and my own little stable bit with 2 stables and storage space for hay/straw/feed. I school in the field when its not too muddy or hard/dry lol!! Hacking is great when the army aren't on it! I will be looking for a sharer for ori next winter when she is backed etc., to ride 2-3 times a week (hacking) and help muck out etc., come rain or shine!! I will be asking £20 - £25 a week, right person is more important with opportunity to compete when I get a trailer again

Well all i can say is good luck if you can find someone to ride your horse - l looked for ages to find a rider for my other horse and eventually found someone here in North Devon but she rides for free - did put an advert in and charged 15 per week just to cover shoes but did not even get any calls - when this girl finally goes in Oct when she goes to uni i will give up i think and retire her which is shame as despite being 20 she loves being ridden and enjoys life so much

Gosh i'm near Guildford in Surrey and can't believe the difference between gatwick and here! I guess alot of it comes from the livery, the fact that my GRASS LIVERY is £235/month probably equates to why sharing is £180 per month for most people! Sharers at our yard pay to share the riding school horses twice a week £200 a month. OMG!!! I pay £151pcm for grass livery where YO gives hay and checks him every afternoon so I only go up once a day and hay and hard feed are included. I have use of a good school and hacking straight onto Ashdown Forest! I know I have a good deal but I didn't know it was that good! Bigger yards near me cost £450pcm part livery and about £600 full

I think its good to calculate costs etc but ultimately it comes down to demand, if there are lots of people looking for a loan/part share you can charge more and pick someone you like, if there are more horses available than potential loanees then its a struggle.
