My feed shop is getting these in next week and reckons they're mollasses and alfalfa free and also contain vitamins and minerals so can be fed as a balancer (it's also marketed as suitable for laminitics). And are only £7.50 for a 20kg bag...sounds too good to be true since I'm paying almost £40 a bag for Top Spec Anti Lam for the same reasons... Would appreciate any thoughts on this feed as I'm very tempted to go back next week and buy a bag! Thanks a lot

Hmmm.........I assume you mean these: www.falconequinefeeds.co.uk/product_range_hi_fibre_cubes.htmCertianly NOT molasses free as molasses are stated on the ingredients! DOES seem to be alfalfa free, so as a firbe-provider, not bad. But, I doubt the vitamin and mineral levels are comparable to a balancer. Sound like it may be similar to Allen and Paige's Fast Fibre. Fast Fibre is higher in fibre and lower in oil. Hope this helps.....

I feed these to my boy but certainly don't use them as a feed balancer, neither would I personally reccomend them in that capacity. They are more a fibre provider which do not, in my opinion, fizz your horse up. I feed them with the Falcon feeds Triple A chaff which does have vitamins and minerals in it, and also the Simple Systems grass nuts. I still feed a mulit vitamin supplement. My boy is a TB and drops weight quickly. When I was feeding just the cubes and triple A, he would drop weight really quickly if I didn't keep an eye on him, and found myself constantly amending how much I was feeding him in order to keep the weight on. By adding the grass nuts and feeding half scoop of high fibre cubes, he now maintains his weight well. That said, I like the Falcon feeds range and would reccomend them to anyone.

Thanks folks, I think I'll stick with the Anti Lam as it is doing its job brilliantly, just a bit " " about the price...
