I havent had a horse for three years since my friend moved away and she sold her place where I kept my horse. Havent had much horse contact since then. I would love some horse contact (not bothered about riding), just grooming, mucking out, cleaning tack and contact with horses and horsey people is what I miss most.
I dont have the money anymore to share a horse so I would just like to do this really to have to contact that I loved again.
Do you think its a good idea? I have been told to do things that make you happy and this is one of things that made me happy.

I'm sure plenty of people would love help with their horse. Where abouts are you?

It sounds like a very good idea if it makes you happy. Volunteering at a rescue centre would be a great way of doing it, or alternatively plenty of people would like help without having to give up their riding as well!

I think this is a great idea! I 'gave up' horses for some years but got back into then jus the way you are describing! And haven't looked back since. You don't realize how much of a good feeling you get from just being in contact with them! If it makes you happy then i say go for it!

What about volunteering at a rescue centre, somewhere like this would be good http://www.elisabethsvendsentrust.org.uk./view/leeds Donkeys not horses, but very cute.

Not everyone wants money for a share, you might find if you can offer pooh picking etc then you might get lucky and get a free share. I would certainly love some help with the boring jobs, but haven't got a horse to offer anyone to ride.
