Badly schooled husbands are a problem.... I'm introducing more lunging and groundwork in the New Year. NO child, can whine like my child. That's simply not possible Daisy.

I spoke to someone today while she was working, and get this ......... Her husband had just finished his shift, so he was home changing the beds / putting the washing on and then going out shopping !! OMG .............. someone frame him ! ( I wonder if a man being THAT helpful would get on your nerves ? ) hmmmmm.....

Can i just point out to all of you mothers of ' boy children ' that you owe the next generation of ' horse owning ladies ' to teach and train them for all domestic chores, plus, explain frequently how ' owning a horse is very tiring and expensive ' so they need to get well paid jobs and learn that the key to a happy marriage is: Take Aways are fine 5 days a week / partners falling asleep in front of the TV or friends whilst covered in bits of hay and yes, being 3rd in the pecking order behind Horse, cat and dog is the norm !!!

Heh heh heh .......... I will ... don`t worry he`ll be well trained ... .actually the more i think about it, he`ll be the one knowing (and enjoying) the fact that horses are expensive and tiring, and that being covered in hay is cpmpletely "the norm" lolol ........ He gets his own pony tomorrow morning from "santa" ..... Vids and pictures to follow ;D

I just don't know what to say to this thread... Speechless, absolutely speechless (doesn't happen often ;D) "Badly schooled husbands" indeed! MTA - I am of course a domestic god, but only because I live on my own so if I don't do it, it doesn't get done!

awww i think i may need to stick up for husbands here, mine doesn't do anything at the horses often but he does cook dinner every week night while i'm down filling baths etc, he also keeps my car running so i can get there and once when all 11 escaped he put off what he was doing for a whole 4 hours so he could drive behind me while i walked them over 2 miles home ;D oh and he's fixed my fencing, replaced taps and rehung gates.

yep 34 years of being together has taught my oh lots He was waited on hand and foot by mummy but as soon as we got married he learned to love the hairy monsters that came with me to cook clean iron change nappies and generally be a domestic god. He still hates loose hair and mud but now poo picks feeds grooms in fact if push came to shove he could look after animals and household better than me. He still cooks tea at night even though I dont work now and is still handy with the hoover he works full time and now also pays for everything he truly is a wonderful chap.

You'll get plenty of offers for your OH, Highlanderpony2002.
Mine is a bit special too, he always cooks Christmas lunch, hence me being on the compute right now!

No kids in this household, but three dogs, two cats (including The Cat Of Glory, who runs the place) two horses, and a BRILLIANTLY schooled OH!
He woke up early yesteday morning, so I cam downstairs to find the turkey prepped and ready for the oven, the kitchen immaculate, cats and dogs fed, and a cup of tea wating for me. He then came out to play our favourite winter games "hunt the poo", in the snow, and "poo chiselling" for the stuff that had frozen solid into the underlying ice!
Champagne was opened, and I then did very little until my huge Christmas lunch was ready for me! Fab!
Disadvantage of this marvellously well schooled creature is that he works away during the week, so I get to do everything by myself most of the time!

My husband is mostly good too. He won't have much to do with the horses, but he does cook and wash up most nights, mostly does his fair share of the housework, and he has even learned to put a new loo roll on the holder and to make the bed if he is last out of it! And he wears a uniform and treats me to my own personal aerobatic displays over the yard ;D
