I wondering if there are any Tennessee Walking Horse owners out there. I have mother, Didi, and daughter, Ella. Didi is 16.1hh and will be put in foal again next spring to a 17hh sire. The semen was imported and cost an arm and a leg! I'd be interested to find any sires in the UK apart from one near Birmingham. Attachments:

No idea who has one but have you got any pictures of them showing the whole of them?

Thats cool! Glad to see them exported, that are a fun animal. I esp. like the big, huge pretty ones... always thought a big black one would be neat. I've seen a few coon dog/field trials, that always looked like fun. Sounds like you will have a foal with some size! Good luck

Dragonmaster, yes email me. jenni@equineramblersuk.co.uk Sallywoa, Didi, is 16.1hh and her filly foal is 15+ at 21 months. I haven't measured her yet. They are very affectionate, people friendly horses. They learn quickly too. Can't wait to see what colour foal we'll get! The foal will be for sale at weaning. Look in Gallery of Equine Ramblers UK for pics. Couldn't post one on here for some reason!

I had to trim a Tennessee Walking horse for my final exam in the States - I found the gait analysis a nightmare, lol!!!
Fell in love with them then though< they are rather bouncy to ride. The feet on my one were fab!!!

They are smooth Beany1 in the running walk! When you get them in that pace they are brilliant. They can do about 10 mile an hour in it! The slow walk on mine is rocking chair like. The canter is a nice lollop. I wanted one years ago and couldn't afford to import. I lost my first horse in 2006 and decided to go for it. I wanted the comfort of the speed with the running walk as I do long distance riding.

Portiabuzz I have a friend near you who has a Tennessee Walking Horse Mare. She breeds Fell Ponies and is a great fan of Elvis! She may let you try her horse. You can get in touch by keying in to your internet search Graceland Fell Ponies. Attachments:

She's a really nice person and knows me better from Equine Ramblers UK and through the Tennessee Walkers. I've posted a picture below of her with our filly Tennessee Walker this summer. I don't think she'll mind you emailing! Attachments:
