Rest In Peace lovely boy - will miss you so much..
Take my love and D's to Quizy, and L's love to Mr C who died earlier this year.
Last couple of years have been hard for you, diagnosed two years ago with Osteo arthritis in both front pasterns (High Ringbone). You struggled through the summers with the hard ground, but picked up in the winter... Last year you were lame again and egg bars were advised to help you.. which worked, you went sound again, and enjoyed another winter in work... This year, you had lamintis in May, but with careful management you got through it, but went lame yet again, so much so, it didnt get better even with painkillers.
After a trip to the horspital, and xrays taken, it showed that your arthritis has worsend so much the cartilage has gone completely and though you werent crippled at the time, it was only a matter of time that you would become crippled. I know how you feel as both you and I walk bone on bone, and whatever you felt, I feel
too.
Im so sorry Seamus, you didnt want to go, but we didnt want you to know what real pain is... so made the decision to end your life
You had such character, planting when supposed to be coming in from the feild, bucking while on hacks, disappearing round the yard after having your bridle taken off, and Yes, your old sharer told us when you went to visit the tack room..... How you managed to get your great big backside in there, I will never know!!
but on the plus side, when you knew I had a treat my my pocket, and tried to mug me for it, on the way to the feild, you knew you werent allowed it til we got to the gate, and would stop trying to mug, when I said, "not til you're at the gate" you clever, intelligent gorgeous boy, your coat always shone.....
