" EMW " ;D
Thank you to Ann N/F for putting the nomination forward and to Elaine for working so hard to acheive the charity status.
Kelly and the IH team are looking forward to a sucessful year for EMW. The new fundraiser will officially start from July 1st, so you have a few weeks to get those thinking caps on for your wonderful fundraising ideas. Thank you

Hooray!! We're donating some proceeds from the Silversand Hereford clinic to EMW, it will be really great if we can get them set up for a winter or two.

I am so pleased that EMW will be this year`s charity. I know that lots of other DG members also wanted to help EMW .
Hopefully some of you are still thinking about writing something for the DG book? It would be great to get this together in time for EMW to profit from it.

Just write something, prose or poetry, horsey or not. We are writing a book, and at this rate there will only be a couple of authors, which would be such a shame as we have some excellent writers on here

wonderful news ..........thanks folks
EMW really have had a stressful time just recently with money worries not helping ........ but it has cheered us tremendously over the past few weeks to not only obtain charity status at last but to get increased awareness in the general horsey community.
My efforts to get Team EMW up and running are coming to fruition ... after the wonderful time at the three counties and the lovely positive responses to the bitless open bridle at long last Taz and I will be able to go to events and wear the EMW logo as we take part !!!! Another trustee competes dressage so she too will soon be sporting her colours / logo .......Team EMW begins to fledge !
The preparations for the "big bash" weekend in August are starting in earnest now .... so looking forward to it .
Thanks all

Good Morning everyone - - and thank you to all (especially tha brownie bakers ) for such a welcome to the EMW fundraising year here on IDHG. Some of you will know me from SU or other boards but I will take a second to introduce myself incase. I have supported EMW via the Internet for some years now, part of the idea being to save the people who live near to the Sanctuaries to get on with what they do best ( from poo picking to delicate negociations with distressed owners), from the tedious tasks involved in keeping records of donations etc etc. I am the Fundraising representative for EMW, we have several small items for sale as on going fundraisers and hope to gradually increase these. I sell these both on eBay and through a little website I have dedicated to EMW fundraising. www.freewebs.com/emwfundraising/If anyone orders items from the fundraising website and would like the money to go to EMW via the IDHG fundraising year -- please quote IDHG when you order and I will transfer the money into that account. I will be more than happy to add any fundraising events you run to this website and hopefully give them a wider audience. any queries please don't hesitate to email me. emw.fundraising@ntlworld.com Edit to correct spelling mistake in email address !!

Back again I would like, if it is OK with the IDHG charity organisers, to run a couple of eBay sales as my contribution to the Year of Fundraising for EMW. The way this has been done in the past is people donate goods to be auctioned - - send me the details, photo, start price and postage costs. I list all the items, at the end of the sale inform the seller when the item is paid for and they post it out - - I send the postage cost to the seller and when all is completed transfer. the proceeds (less any eBay and Paypal fees) to the IDHG charity account.
I would aim to hold the sales in November and March, and post all the details about 4 weeks before listing them.
EDITED as house move is scheduled for September so I may be off line for a few days then.
