Peter is returning to the UK in May, Berkshire dates are confirmed as the 1st to 3rd of June for a three day course, with the 4th earmarked for personal consultations and looking at interesting and unusual feet (and horses, and possibly humans as well if last visit was anything to go by).
One of the themes of this course is to teach horse owners how to be better customers of their trimmers, farriers and vets. The course will also include a stand alone advanced trimmers day where we will be looking at pathological hooves (some even still attached to a horse), and a pathalogical hoof dissection session, previous trimming experience is required for this day.
The course will cover, anatomy and physiology, horse handling for safe trimming, trimming techniques on cadaver hooves, holistic hoof care - what part nutrition plays in healthy hoof function. As well as hands on trimming there will also be several trimming demonstrations on visiting horses. Participants are welcome to bring their own horses to the clinic to trim.
Cost £75 per day including lunch, refreshments and use of tools if required.
