Exmoors are the ponies to beat all ponies. So sorry to read that you've lost Piper. Hugs for you. ((()))

Every morning when I wake up, my first thought is, Piper is dead. I hope it stops soon. Thinking of you Sarah and I hope your first waking up moments are begining to be filled with other thoughts.

Thanks Mandal. The pain eases somehow and a long chat with the vet has helped. The fact that I worked with five veterinary undergraduates last weekend made me feel like something good could come out of this somewhere. I'm also helping to work with vets through the Animal rescue team of Hampshire Fire Service too. Sedation is a subject that is very high up on their list.
Occasionally still get a thud every so often when I remember that he's dead. I think the vet was shocked to find out what a following he had.
