His body looks slightly smoother in the second video, not as much muscle edge showing. Have you noticed his energy improving? I think the first 3 - 4 months after starting the high oil diet can be full of ups and downs, which doesn't help either. I seem to remember it took a good 3.5 months before I was seeing really appreciable difference in Lutine's stiffness and muscling. And she's still improving over 2 years on.
She's never shown colic or IR symptoms (touch wood!) but when she came I was convinced she had signs of chronic laminitis and definitely leaky gut. Her whole body was on toxic overload from being fed the high grain diet and having had loads of medications.
Like JJ she was incredibly stiff in her neck and poll. That has also loosened off a lot over the last few months.

He's definately havig ups and downs, but the downs seem to be over with more quickly. He's still stiff, but he seems to be in less pain generally--energy wise he's slowed down a bit though. Last week he was barging about trying to push me around and generally trotting and trying to cut me up, but this last few days he's been walking out very quietly.....I don't know whether he's behaving or he's feeling ill We can only walk him out for about half a mile though, any more than that and he's very sore to the touch the next day Still, it's only been just over a month--I'm trying to think long term!!! Hard though. I suppose because JJ's been on a low sugar starch diet for so long it's modified the symptoms a lot, so he's never looked seriously stiff--possibly if we had had him on a grain diet it would have been easier to see, I don't know. Anyhow, we've just bought him an Equissage pad, since the little hand held one we had seemed to cheer him up a bit, so hopefully that should help with some of the stiffness. Oddly enough it's his shoulders that seem very sore at the moment--HQs are definately getting better. I shall film him again in a few weeks to see if there are any obvious changes.....
