Just wondered if anyone had used him? Not keen to use my previous dentist again, and can't get hold of the person I would really like to use. Any other recommendations for the Essex area gratefully received.

I use damien and have never met a better man for teeth, will explain anything you want, and even managed to handled by very firery unhandled welsh stally with no fuss, was very impressed he has a stutter but has a quiet confidence with the horses

He is brilliant. Very sensitive to horses, and handles them with great care. Can't praise him enough.
His price is extremely reasonable too!

Can highly recommend Julie McCarthy, I personally know her very well, she is based at our yard, she has the patience of a saint & is definately the best Equine Dentist that I have dealt with (and i'm not just saying that cause she's my freind!).

I think I have used Julie before. She was very newly qualified - about 2000/2001? I have to say she was not very good with my highly strung TB and I have never seen him so worried by anyone handling him. I guess she now has far more experience, so perhaps things have changed, but I can't get the sight of my TB flattened against the back wall of the stable with the whites of his eyes showing out of my mind - he has never reacted that way to an EDT before. Sorry sunnylynn11 if she is a friend of yours, but I can't help being influenced by the reaction of my horse. Perhaps he just didn't click with her and vice versa?? I am going to give Damian a go as the reports sound very positive. Thanks to everyone who has replied.
