Can anyone please recommend some fleece lined waterproof full chaps that are comfortable for riding in? I would like some that are nice and long in the leg. Currently looking at the Musto Snug Chaps and Just Chaps Dri Riders. Has anyone got these, and if so can you recommend them? Thanks.

I got the Loveson full chaps for xmas, waterproof anf fleece lined and i haven't taken them off since xmas day (well just for going to bed - LOL)
And only £29.99, they are made out of the same material as light turnout rugs, my friend has them and hoses them twice daily up the yard and machine washes them once a week and they still look like new and are completely waterproof.

I have moutain horse ones and they are lovely but you get a cold bum!!!!!!!!!!! I actually wear around the yard and ride out in waterproof quilted over trousers I got from Aldis a couple of years back .. and this year I chopped them off to be little longer then knee length to wear with wellies and log boots and perfect,in fact bargain. They only cost me a fiver..

i ride in ski trousers. they are usually cheaper and lovely and warm other positive is that you can get ones that are made of material that isn't slippy/plasticy so you get better 'grip' on the saddle rather than sliding around like normal full leg waterproof trousers.

I use Kitt neoprene chaps which are stretchy and lovely. You forget that you have them on! They are also not slippery to ride in and you don't get that caught up, pully feeling round your legs that you do with looser chaps.

I've got the Mountain Horse ones which are great - they aren't too thick or make really loud rustling noises like some do.
I've also got a pair of suede full chaps as well. They're brilliant for keeping me warm. Not waterproof so I wear those on dry, cold days. They're pretty ancient though but I think they cost me around £50 which isn't too bad as they're into their 10th winter and still going strong.

I definitely want chaps rather than over trousers. My coat comes down over my hips, so I don't tend to get a cold bum when riding!! ;D
I don't want anything too rustly, or padded so I look a few stone heavier! LOL!
Am going to look in my local saddlery this afternoon, but please keep the suggestions coming.

I would definitely recommend the Musto's - mine are about 8 years old now and still going strong. They've been through the washing machine so many times and are still brilliant. OH has a pair as well and really rates them. We're always warm and dry. They are more expensive than some others - but definitely worth it!

Do the Musto ones only come in navy? I was hoping to get some in black.

I think that they only come in navy, I'm afraid. Certainly I've never seen any in a different colour...
