Yes, Heather - the Wow's are mono flap. In theory, the seat should be soft enough for comfort, so a seat saver isn't needed. The one I'm riding in has a suede seat, so the grip's sorted too. And... thinking about it... I was getting quite a lot of coccyx pain in my old saddle & seatsaver combination, which I'm not getting in the Wow, so maybe I don't need it? ?

I thought the book was great too. It was probably the first non BHS "how to" book I'd ever read and it was the first time I'd ever heard of inside seat bone being in front of the outside one on a corner. For years people had been telling me to look round the circle which meant I was twisting inwards and my inside seat bone was behind my outside one, or at least level with it. Reading how it should be done in your book was one of those lightbulb moments. Made so much sense!

I have quite a comfortable saddle and prefer to ride without a seat saver for schooling and don't bother putting it back on for short hacks.. Last week I went for a long hack for the first time in a while and didn't think to put it back on, mistake!! Love it for long hacks!

I loved my seatsaver on my treed saddle, but have now moved to a treeless and I'm thinking I need to get a hipsaver. Heather, please do republish the book, I need to read it.

Well I dont use the Seatbone Saver either, because it is built into my Fhoenix saddles!!! ;D But I would never teach abroad, if for any reason I cant take a saddle with me, without a Seatbone Saver in my suitcase! I suppose I have never felt perched on any saddle, having ridden sidesaddle too- if you have ever ridden on one, (probably Steve wont have, being male!!) any other saddle will feel very close to the horse!!
If my Seatbones hadnt given me so much trouble when learning to ride in the Classical way, rather than the typical British seat, I would never have designed the Seatbone Saver, which has now been on the market for nearly 18 years. And that wouldnt have led to the treed saddles, and to the SoftTreed ones, and now the new SoftEE bridle and the flexible treed range I am designing for Jeffries. Just look what a lot of work my seatbones have caused me!!! ;D
I have to reshoot all the book photos folks- I was never happy with them. My publishers gave me a three month deadline to write the book and it was all too rushed. Plus I would have to pay the publishers to use the current photos- grrrrrrrrrrr, when I think of how much money they have made out of me, that was the straw that broke the camel's back!!
I will also publish the ebook for beginners and improver riders that I wrote last year- most people still want a proper book, so I will have to take the plunge and do that one too!

Brilliant, your beginners book will be a fantastic present for my OH, who has stopped having lessons because no-one teaches him, they just shout instructions and say things that he doesn't understand, then can't explain when he asks! Sorry, went into a bit of a rant there, lol!

Yep Jes, it is a bit like the Brits shouting at foreigners, loudly, in the hope it will make them understand!! ;D
It is all so easy to teach, and far more rewarding when your pupils enjoy their lessons, and learn quickly! And believe me, it is very possible!

I would, Jenny, but one of the EE members is a professional equestrian photographer and has a Lusitano, and has offered to do it, so I reckon that is an offer I cant refuse!! But Julia is a brilliant photographer and wouldnt hesitate to use her if I hadnt already an offer!
