As most of you know, I had a few problems with my new horse and she was collected today by her previous owner. I think that it is the best for her and Ive been told that she will be turned away for a while before being brought back into work. I gave the owner copies of all the treatment she had with me, Dentist, Worm count and Vetting, but the owner seemed displeased that I had given her photocopies instead of originals (especially of the vetting) Do you think I was right to give only photocopies or should I have handed over the originals? I thought I was being really thoughfull in doing this but after she had said 'oh I though you would have at least given me the originals' I just felt a bit mean! She also turned up to take her without my money! haha I think she just forgot it and don't think she was trying to pull a fast one......or maybe I am too trusting! LOL. At least the hard bit is over now and I can continue to look for my perect neddie....i'm sure he or she is out there somewhere!

If you paid for the work, the originals are yours I would imagine. I wouldn't part with the horse or paperwork without the money to be honest. Good luck on the next hunt. You'll find him/her.

I'm the same as Kanga and wouldn't have parted with the horse without the money TBH. You were definitely right to keep the original paperwork IMHO. After all you paid for all the treatments etc.
Really want to wish you all the very best in finding the perfect horse for you soon ba.

Agree with SS3 I'm afraid, no horse, no money. Have a feeling you are going to be patient in getting your money back.

I have my money, i didn't let them take her of the yard before getting it. She had to call a family member to bring it while we all waited around! She wasn't happy about that either and wanted to take the horse and bring the money later!
Sunnylynn, I honestly didnt really think about the whole original /photocopy thing until the owner commented on it. I file everything and am very organised, so i just photocopied them and then re-filled the original's without thinking.
