I am having mobile field shelter delivered next week. I was wondering how you all manage them and how much they are used. Do they get used in the summer and winter equally?
do you put bedding in them?
do you feed in them or put hay in them?
what do you think is best. should i just leave t au natural or bed it down with something

My lot use their field shelters winter and summer alike. What you use as bedding, largely depends on the ground your field shelter is on. Mine are on chalk so they drain well, and I use thick shavings, or, for mares and young foals , thick straw. My horse use them to avoid flies and heavy rain in the summer, and bad weather in the winter. They sleep in them, whenever they are out at night.--------------no exaggeration Whether you put hay in them depends on the size of the shelter, and the amount of horses. Sometimes it's safer to put it outside under the overhang.

Mine are bedded with straw and have ad lib hay in them at all times. Same as SS3 - mine love to sleep in them at night - there are always donk or horse shaped dents in the straw in the mornings
