Well .. I bet you would never guess in a million years but here is a clue in August my birthday pressie was 2 tyres for my pajero.. Well on similar wavelength.. I have had a Alternator supplied and fitted to my Pajeo.. so tomorrow I can sneak out.. lift the bonnet and then nip inside put in the key turn it and WOW .. my Pajero starts.. and not strange lights on.. I know sad isnt it, but I didnt have the money so hubby paid for it and what could I say.. I suppose it had better be my chrissie pressie.. But then I think what I get from my Paj.. a chance to take Flynny loads of places freedom and independance.. so no I am not complaining it is in fact so worth it weight in gold to me. So what pressies on similar situation has others had or getting.. Friend told me today the 2st year she got her own horse she had Pitchfork/broom/shovel/and a wheelbarrow!

I've had a wheel barrow one previous Christmas, this year it is some poly poles (lifting wooden ones hurts my back) for a combined Christmas/Birthday so I have enough for L for Leather. I think the alternator is a far better present than some of the rubbish you see people buy - considering my dream is to ride down a beach to keep the pajero running to be able to do that again is well worth it.
Happy Christmas Susan!

I got 'vet bills' for Christmas in 2006 from my OH and in the same year we both got a new cylinder head block for the 4x4 from my Gran and Mum combined. The year before that my OH had bought me one of his Christmas presents = a flashing hi viz waistcoat.

OOOH Tim Flack's book of AMAZING photos! And the brightest pink flourescent riding coat. I think I might have to go back to my horse's original name of Barbie!

My OH and I decided not to get pressies for each other this year, instead we are opening up an account to save for a trip to the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010! We are putting the cheque his father sends us for birthdays and Christmas in and any spare cash. My daughter has a pot for saving to send her partner on a course to do with his rock climbing business and I suggested that for every buy one get one free offer she puts the cash she has saved into the pot and she has accumulated over £100 very quickly. I will be doing this from now on and putting in the difference on sales goods if it was something I would have bought anyway.

I'd love to have had an alternator for Christmas!! My stupid heap of ***t French car decided it wanted a new alternator, so that's it's present from me I'd be very happy with a new wheelbarrow or anything useful like that - none of my family will ever buy me anything remotely related to my animals.
