She is more than likely feeling your anxiety and maybe if you go in after taking deep breaths. Use your soft eyes too as in centred riding. It's helped me. Always check your shoulders are not tense too as my instructor says if they are then you will give off the wrong chemicals to the horse and so not get where you want to be with your horse.

well arrived at yard to find a totally relaxed asti ;D munched her haylage whilst rug changed and toni checked her back and confirmed that she is still sore and tense along her back especially her shoulder. (will ask vet for a referral for physio now she has finished her danelon). funnily enough i dont think i was thinking about my shoulder tonight, maybe it was because i was with toni and was feeling happy and relaxed myself...... got a much calmer asti. thats a very good point karen (EP) is coming on sunday to trim her feet so lets hope she continues to settle.
