Hello everyone! I only just found this section so first, apologies for posting elsewhere before I had introduced myself. I live in Suffolk with my husband, three children and four horses, Murphy my dressage horse (he is on the IH website in photos of the 5-day course), Willow, my home bred colt, Jessica my Connemara brood mare and Flo her PB foal. I worked in Animal Health for one of the big companies, mainly with anthelmintics and other horsey products for most of my career and now teach science, maths and stats at secondary school locally, which gives me lots more time with the children and the horses, and to browse this forum which has been really helpful. Look forward to meeting some of you in the future and exchanging views on here. Sarah x

Hi Kate, lovely to hear from a fellow IH person nearby! I'm near Saxmundham but moved up from Essex a few years ago. I'm honestly not as busy as I sound! I don't teach everyday as my youngest is only 20 months (human one!) so am home mooching with him and the horses at least 2 days a week. Bliss!!

Well Hi you two, have just registered and was just looking for a place to introduce myself and my brood and low and behold I find two other people from Suffolk - and not only that one from just down the road from me !!! wow. I am new to this horse ownership business, but have always dreamt of doing it one day and was soooo please when my daughter had a few lessons several years ago and really liked it, she is only 10 and has been taught the RWYM way which of course was never around when I had my first few lessons some 30 years ago - anyway long story short, we've recently moved here from Hampshire and purposely brought property with stables and a bit of land, 1 year in yippee we have two neds. Still novice owners and riders - but am learning a lot and the main thing is we love it. Spent ages trying to decide which path to go and have lurked on many different forums trying to get a feel for their general philosophy - so here I am .... me, my daughter, little new forest and a very spotty Appy - Liz P your know who we are !! (Also have fab Hubby and wonderful 7yr old son neither ride yet !!! mind you neither to we very well !!) So hello

Welcome spottybliss! Lovely to find others out there too. What a lovely way to learn for your daughter. I wish RWYM was around when I learnt. I had a New Forest as my first pony and she ran rings round me! I learnt alot from her though. Still we are here now in the right place! Kate, I was further South in Leigh on Sea, but was born near Saffron Walden ( Stanstead Mountfitchit) so am Essex born and bred! Tell me more about your horses. Have to go, Can hear baby has woken up xx

I'm close by as well, my duaghter and I share a pony which is just as well as I'm a full time teacher who is a bit scared of riding any more, so I do the ground work, she does the riding. Were memenbers of Suffolk Hunt Pony Club so hi.
