couldnt think of what section to put this under so feel free to move if necessary. A neighbour of a friend of mine is being taken into care after several suicide attempts. he has a lovely old male german shepherd call ed Barney who needs a home because he cannot go with him. The rspca and pdsa say they are full and cannot take him. I would have him by my collie hates male dogs. Any suggestions ideas would be appreciated. thanks

Whereabouts are you. I know a number of rescue centres/organisations that may be able to help re-home him. Alternatively www.dogpages.org.uk is a good reference site for re-homing.

Whats the dogs routine like? I'm sure my OH wouldn't mind having another GS, but we're quite far away.. what about when your friend recovers, wouldn't he want his old mate back? xx

Hi skyesthelimit, dont know much about the situation as it is my mates neighbour, she just asked me to put it on board. I get the impression that they feel the dog is at too much risk with him. Ive sent an email to a gsd rescue asking for advice too. will try and get more info on him.

I have had contact with Lancs GSD rescue in the past and found them to be great, they could be worth a call?
