My hydrangeas are still flowering....it was too hot for them in July so they didn't bother! We also have a clematis that was supposed to flower in August.....round here the roses always flower over winter anyway, but the other flowers are a bit puzzling since personally I'm bl00dy freezing and am wearing about 15 layers

we have new rose shoots out, daffs and other bulbs up about 3" catkins opening on the ehdgerows and honeysuckle leaves bursting probably 7weeks ahead of due time. The rooks are cawing and beginning to build in the tall trees - again way too early for rearing chicks. This morning our grazing was well up by about 2" of growth, violent bright green and prolific..weather forecasts show no dip in temps of any significance so we might well assume Spring is almost sprung! - for those of us who try to diet our horses over Winter as nature intended, there are just 9 weeks until March anyway! our 'dieters' are positively porky! emw x

We had a blue bottle in the porch yesterday. Thought they all died off in winter! Topsey turvey weather it is.
